	CONVENTIONS Fusion We had an incredible weekend at Fusion '11 in St. Albans, WV! Souls were saved and lives were changed by the power of God! We're anxiously anticipating what He has in store for us this year at AYM! Fusion 2012 will be Nov. 2nd and 3rd at Calvary A/G, Beckley, WV! Fine Arts Fine Arts Festival is designed to help students discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts. Those awarded with "Superior with Invite" are invited to participate in the National Fine Arts festival. We had a great festival this year with a record turnout in 2012! JR & SR High Camps (ages 12-18) begin June 18-22nd at the COG Campground, Roanoke, VA and Kids Camp (ages 7-11) begins July 16-20 at Camp Maranatha, Dublin. The mission is to carry crosses on a 35 mile walk over a period of 3 days on Easter weekend. This will take place throughout the Appalachian District as we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to our communities in order to raise money for missionaries around the world. Looking forward to 2013! More info to come. Bible Quiz Although Bible Quiz involves competition, it is not just a program. It is a ministry. It is about changing lives through the living Word of God, and not about receiving trophies. Bible Quiz is about encouraging the Body of Christ, and seeing lives changed. The goal of the Appalachian District Quiz Ministry is to: 1. Bring each student and coach closer to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. 2. Encourage, by systematic study, an in-depth understanding of God’s Word. 3. Motivate students to memorize God’s Word. 4. Teach students to make daily application of God’s Word. 5. Teach students to reflect the character of Jesus Christ in attitude and action. 6. Provide an opportunity for service and discipleship for our students. 7.
